John Oliver's “wonderfully, creative music” (Fanfare) displays “a delicate yet often complex sense of beauty” (Musicworks). John Oliver has an international reputation as a composer and electronic musician. He has performed as a guitarist and electronic musician with the Vancouver Symphony, and in concerts across Canada and abroad. His music has been heard in performances in Europe, Asia and the Americas and appears on over 40 commercial and independent releases. His work "El Reposo del Fuego" for DX7 and soundscapes won the Grand Prize at the CBC's 8th Young Composers' Competition and his "Forging Utopia: Orchestral Music of John Oliver" won the West Coast Music Award in 2012. Oliver's current live performance electronic music system features touch-plate and circuit-bending synthesizers, as well as granular and resynthesis sound processors that allow him to process the sound of live instruments and amplified sounds, creating washes of every-shifting, multi-layered soundscapes.

Clarinetist François Houle has established himself as one of today’s most inventive musicians, in all of the diverse musical spheres he embraces. Inspired by collaborations with the world’s top musical innovators, François has developed a unique improvisational language, virtuosic and rich with sonic embellishment and technical extensions. A prolific recording artist, he has released over twenty recordings as a leader, earning multiple Juno Award and West Coast Music Award nominations. He has been listed on numerous occasions in Downbeat magazine’s Readers and Critics’ Polls as “Talent Deserving Wider Recognition” and “Rising Star”.

As a composer, Douglas has been composer in residence with the Esprit Orchestra and the Victoria Symphony. He has performed at the Berlin Philharmonie, soloist with the Montreal Symphony, Buffalo Symphony, concerts for the San Fransisco Symphony, Napa Valley Symphony, Orchestra London, Halifax Symphony Orchestra, Montana Symphony to name a few. Schmidt has performed concerts in the USA, Canada, Germany, the Netherlands, Vietnam, Thailand and Guatemala. He currently embraces the notion of improvisation as a most powerful tool of composition and music creation.
